Beauty Daria was a Roman Vestal Virgin of Pallas Athena, a heathen. She had a charming feminine beauty and intelligence. She was married to a young man Chrysanthus. Daria turned to Christ with the help of her husband’s education. Young couple by mutual agreement decided to live in a chaste state. After Chrysanthus’ parents died, who were pagans and occupied important position, the young started living in separate houses. Holy Chrysanthus gathered a few converted to Christ youths, and Holy Daria gathered around herself pious women.
